Some of Lafarge Cement’s hydrated lime has been used for an unusual application – to restore a landmark on the UK landscape. The company has donated the material to restore the Broad Hinton White Hose in Wiltshire to its former glory.
| The 170 year old landmark had turned grey from the effects of the weather and pollution but 40 bags of Hydralime have been used to re-whiten the horse. Previous attempts to restore the horse using chalk but the results did not last long. |
