Companies sign up for ConExpo

Despite continuing uncertainties in the manufacturing sector, companies are continuing to sign up to exhibit at the next ConExpo-Con/Agg and IFPE expositions.

They include returning companies as well as new exhibitors, from large to niche businesses across North America and worldwide.

The co-located shows will be held from 22-26 March at the Las Vegas Convention Center, USA.

“Some companies have actually increased their exhibit space even though others had to reduce their commitment because of the economy,” said Megan Tanel, Association of Equipment Manufacturers’ (AEM) vice president, exhibitions and events.

With opening day about one year away, the event already covers more than 1.8 million net ft² (167,000m²) of exhibits, and IFPE is close to topping 100,000 net ft² (9,300m²). Exhibit space is still available, on a first come, first served basis.

The shows will again feature specialised exhibit pavilions, including a focus on information technology/management, and international exhibit pavilions. Also, ICON Expo, with an emphasis on the concrete products industry, is co-locating with the shows in 2011.

“For attendees, they will be able to see the range of the latest products and services available in the marketplace and be able to talk one-on-one with industry experts in construction, construction materials and fluid power/motion control,” Tanel said.
