According to air expert Christer Johansson, concrete walls in the Stockholm Bypass (Förbifart Stockholm) could reduce air particles in the tunnel by 5% to 20%.

Dirty air is expected to plague the tunnel during the winter, where studded tyres also have a large influence on dirt particles.
