The French quarry and building materials group Garandeau has opened a new Euros 5 million concrete block production unit

The French quarry and building materials group Garandeau has opened a new Euros 5 million concrete block production unit in Châteauneuf, Provence, southern France. The 3,000m² plant has a production capacity of up to six million blocks annually.
Garandeau points out that some Euros 300,000 was spent on insulation alone, especially insulation to reduce noise pollution.
The company has 11 quarries, of which it owns eight, and also operates building materials sales targeting both professionals and individuals, while its 130-truck fleet delivers aggregate, concrete and other materials to work sites.
Looking to the future, the company says it is interested in working on the Poitiers-Bordeaux section of the Paris-Bordeaux high-speed train line.
