Cemex France has appointed Pierre Laplante as its new president

New president for Cemex France

Cemex France has announced that Pierre Laplante has been appointed to take over the role of president from Jean-Marc Helm, who held the post for over 10 years. Michel André will take on Laplante’s current role of vice president of concrete operations based in Paris.

Canadian French-born Laplante is a civil engineer by training and also holds a PhD in concrete and from 1984 worked as a researcher at Quebec’s University of Sherbrooke. He moved to France in 1992 to take on the role of director of concrete research for Italcementi. Laplante joined Cemex in 1997 as chief technical officer and took on the vice president of concrete operations role in March last year.
