Romanian cement producer Carpatcement Holding

Romanian cement producer Carpatcement Holding recorded a 25%-30% drop in sales in the first six months of 2009. While the residential segment saw an 8% rise in sales, deliveries to large construction companies declined by 45% to 50%.
During 2009 the company, a division of the German group HeidelbergCement, has allocated Euros 55 million for investments in the expansion capacity at its three production units to 4.5 million tonnes of cement a year.
