Horizon Conveyors' latest development offers safer and easier access during maintenance of conveyor rollers. According to Horizon, development of the new RapidWinch system followed on from talking to a number of maintenance engineers about the limitations of existing techniques.
"Belt lifters have traditionally adopted a lifting beam design to raise the conveyor belt, but these systems can be cumbersome and time consuming to set up if needed for changing a single roller or accessing a tight space," said Horizon managing director Alan Bowler. "The RapidWinch is designed to be more lightweight and portable."
