Locking in performance

Secure bucket tooth connections are essential in the aggregates industry to avoid them becoming detached and getting caught in the crusher. The latest development from Esco promises to not only improve maintenance but also reduce the risk of lost teeth and fixings.
The Ultralok tooth system has a hammerless lock that is integrated into the point, which increases the security, and is designed to eliminate the need for separate pins or locks.
As well as the new design for the lock, the rest of the tooth shape has been remodelled to maximise machine performance in any application. The point has a low profile shape to provide greater penetration, which Esco claims improves productivity and reduces machine fuel consumption. The company has also said that the low profile shape gives a greater surface area of wear metal to reduce maintenance and the risk of downtime.
