JCB shop floor employees vote to accept pay rise
JCB shop floor employees in the UK have voted to accept a 2.2% pay rise for 2017 as part of a newly-agreed three-year wage deal.
The agreement on pay will see around 3,200 shop floor employees receive the increase from 1 January, 2017.
The rise is linked to November’s Retail Price Index (RPI), and increases in 2018 and 2019 will also be linked to those years’ respective November RPI figures.
The new deal affects employees at JCB’s plants in in Rocester, Uttoxeter, Cheadle, Rugeley and Foston, all in England, and Wrexham, Wales.
