Liebherr Quarry Days a French Hit
A variety of Liebherr's new and existing high performance machines being put to work during a live show at the Libeherr Quarry Days event
Liebherr showcased a variety of its new machines for the quarrying sector to more than 1,000 international customers at the firm’s recent Quarry Days event in Saint-Nabor, France.
Customers got the chance to put event featured models to the test, and also visit Liebherr’s production sites for crawler excavators in Colmar.
Among the 20 machines on show at Liebherr Quarry Days was the German manufacturer’s new R 956 crawler excavator, the new PR 726 crawler tractor and the new Liebherr large wheeled loader XPower.
Most of the Quarry Days’ visitors were quarry operators who were interested in the knowledge and expertise of Liebherr in their market area. Liebherr experts demonstrated the use of the quarrying equipment at various stations oriented towards different quarry production processes: material removal, quarrying, transportation, stone crushers and service.
Material removal was demonstrated with the R 946 crawler excavator and the PR 726 crawler tractor. Special crawler excavators, the R 960 SME Super Mass Excavation, the R 966 and the mining excavator R 9100, were used for the quarrying stage. The new L 566 XPower wheeled loader demonstrated transportation in the quarry. At the stone crusher station, Liebherr showed an A 918 wheeled excavator, equipped with a hydraulic stone crusher for crushing stone blocks. The service station rounded off the programme. Liebherr also informed event attending customers about possible service agreements, the Reman programme and its tooth systems.
