In Estonia, Kunda Nordic Tsement of 674 HeidelbergCement Group, is projecting a price hike in 2012, forced by growing input prices, such as electricity, oil shale, fuels, and other, says CEO Meelis Einstein.

He says the company has slightly adjusted the cement price upward both on domestic and export sales in 2011.

The company predicts consumer demand for cement to grow by 3-5% in Estonia in 2011 compared with the previous year. The demand for gravel is likewise on upward trend due to major road building projects.

Kunda Nordic Tsement posted turnover of €37.16million and profit of almost €2.4million in 2010.
