Anaconda Equipment has broken ground on the development of a new factory in Ardboe, Co Tyrone, Northern Ireland

The erection of the new 31,330ft2 sheds will be composite to a new paint shop, blast area, and assembly shed. The new facility will allow for an increase in production capacity by up to 30%.

The erection of the factory will also create local job opportunities to cope with the speed at which machines pass through production.

The new facility will be home to the state-of-the-art paint shop and blasting processes. The addition of a new blasting and paint shop will allow Anaconda to further improve the quality of the machines produced with a superior paint finish. As a company dedicated to satisfying customers and dealers, Anaconda emphasises the quality of the machinery produced. The investment into new, innovative and high tech painting and blasting machinery will aid with further ensuring an already high-quality finish that will improve the years that Anaconda customers around the globe get to enjoy the famous yellow and grey colour code!

With increasing customer demand for the Anaconda Equipment portfolio globally, the expansion to the company facilities will be welcomed. Quality enhancements, environmental benefits, shorter lead times, and increased productivity will help Anaconda meet one of the core goals that the company puts key emphasis on – customer satisfaction.

Anaconda has ambitious plans for expansion. The erection of this facility will be the first step but also highly necessary is the need for new skilled workers to come and join the team. It takes an army, and that is well recognised. Anaconda will actively seek to recruit for various roles to develop individual skills to help deliver the strategic growth plans in place.

Commenting on the investment, Anaconda managing directors Martin Quinn and Alistair Forsyth said: "Over the last few years Anaconda has been deep in development of its tracked crushing equipment line with the launch of its open and closed circuit J12 jaw and I12 impactor models to add to its current full line of tracked screening, scalping, recycling and conveying equipment.

"We have an aggressive design plan to bring to market a number of additional tracked jaw, impactor and cone models and a huge part of that strategy has been the work behind the scenes in finalising the planning permissions for our new 31,300sq ft state-of-the-art production facility adjacent to the current Anaconda facility.

"We are extremely proud of the growth that Anaconda has seen since its launch on the market in 2009, and this new facility will allow us to better serve our customer base for years to come. Furthermore, this expansion will bring a number of additional employment and supply opportunities to the local economy that has supported us throughout our journey."
