6484 RUBBLE MASTER has been previewing a new app that enables users in the field to identify a machine part that needs replacing via a smartphone camera and then order a new one.

The RM Original Part Scout app is due to be launched by the crusher and screener manufacturer at the end of Q3 this year in Android and iOS versions and can also be used with tablets and laptops.

The app identifies the photo taken by the user. If it is identified with 95% accuracy the user can message their head office to order the part straight away. If the level of accuracy is less than 95%, the app offers images of the most likely matches for the user to identify the part themselves.

Once the part is selected by the user, the app connects them to the RUBBLE MASTER online store, where they can check on its availability and place an order.

“The app is useful for people in the field who don’t have a manual handy, and will help make life easier for our dealers and customers,” said Harald Kussegg, RUBBLE MASTER sales support parts and services manager.
