Previously a high-profile plant distribution expert at Sandvik, Metso and Keestrack, Brookshaw, 61, will be SBM’s global mobile crushing and screening plant distributor development manager. In his newly created position, the British national will work out of SBM’s German office.

“In Michael Brookshaw, we have found a distributor expert with wide knowledge. Thanks to his international distributor expertise and his extensive knowledge of the industry, we will further boost our international growth,” said Erwin Schneller, SBM managing director.

In his 30-year industry career to date, Brookshaw has amassed vast distributor development experience. In the five years prior to joining SBM, he worked as global distribution manager at Bilzen, Belgium-headquartered Keestrack. Prior to that, he served as Sandvik distributor manager and held a similar role at Metso Minerals in Germany. Brookshaw, who started his career as a salesman for Breuer crushing and screening plants, sees great development potential at Oberweis, Upper Austria-headquartered SBM.

“I have known the Austrian full-package supplier SBM for 30 years and have in all those years been thoroughly convinced by their high-quality plants. I really look forward to further developing the market presence of SBM in the industry, thanks to my experience and my international contacts.

“Although SBM Mineral Processing and its product lines are already well-known in some parts of the world, there are - globally speaking - still great possibilities for SBM to take further steps towards internationalisation.”
