The Terex Finlay 883+ screener was manufactured at Terex's Hosur facility

The machine was built at the Terex Materials Processing facility in Hosur, which was established in 2009 and currently manufactures Terex Finlay crushers and screens.

Viraj Parthi, general manager, Terex Finlay, commented: "Our focus has always been on 'Make in India' solutions and the new Terex Finlay 883+ is highly versatile and adaptable machine suitable for working in quarrying, mining, construction & demolition waste, topsoil, recycling, sand, gravel, coal and aggregate applications."

He added that the screener is designed to work after a primary crusher or on its own as a raw material screening machine.

The plant has the capacity to process at a rate of up to 600 tonnes per hour and can be fed either by a tracked mobile crusher, loader or an excavator. This aggressive forward facing inclined modular configuration screenbox has a 4.8m x 1.5m top deck and a 4.8m x 1.5m bottom deck giving a total screening area of 14.4m2. Depending on the working application of the machine hydraulic adjustment can be used to vary the angle of the screen box between 13 – 19°. The top deck of screenbox can be fitted with a variety of screening media including tines, bofor bars, punch plate and wire mesh. The bottom deck can be fitted with mesh or cascade fingers.

A high torque drive steel pan apron feeder is fitted to the machine as standard, and the hopper has a 7m³ capacity as standard with a drop rear door for use in conjunction with a mobile crusher.

The machine is equipped with three hydraulically folding discharge conveyors allowing for maximum stockpiling capacity and associated benefits of rapid set up and tear downtimes.

Additional features of the machine include galvanised access ladders and catwalks fitted as standard to both sides of the screen box. Hydraulic raising of the screenbox discharge end provides additional clearance for screenbox, and fines transfer conveyor maintenance.

Terex started its Hosur operations just over ten years ago, employing close to 80 team members. A decade later, the business has more than 500 team members and enjoys a strong market presence through its various brands, one of them being Terex Finlay. Terex India offers products for major strategic infrastructure projects across India such as highways, airports, canals and power plants.
