8576 McCloskey Washing Systems (MWS) and its UK dealer Max Innovate have held their first UK open days at Crown Aggregates’ Hartshill Quarry, Nuneaton, county Warwickshire, England.

The event showcased the latest initiatives and the most recent new product launch from McCloskey Washing Systems, the AggStorm 150, making its UK debut, combined with the SandStorm 516, processing three aggregates and two sand products.

The Crown Aggregates’ site processes scalpings from previous quarry operations, with the AggStorm 150 and SandStorm 516 handling some 150tonnnes/hour and producing 10mm, 20mm and 40mm aggregate along with the sand products.

Also on show were McCloskey International’s J45 heavy-duty jaw crusher and the R155 high-energy screener.
The AggStorm 150 is a modular design plant to remove harsh, clay-bound material from natural and crushed gravel, stone and ore feeds that cannot be removed by rinsing or screening alone.

The log shafts rotate in opposite directions and are timed to obtain an overlap of the paddle shoes for maximum scrubbing action.

At Crown Aggregates the AggStorm 150 is integrated with the SandStorm 516, equipped with two decks, and this produces two sands.
