BKT pays tribute to the late Arup Saha Deuri

Off-road tyre manufacturer Balkrishna Industries (BKT) says it deeply mourns the loss of Dr. Arup Saha Deuri, head of materials and compound (R&D) at the BKT Bhuj plant, and a renowned Indian rubber technologist.

Dr. Deuri passed away on February 17 at the age of 62, due to liver issues.

BKT says it mourns the loss of a dear colleague and remembers the profound impact Dr. Deuri had on the team and the company. It adds that Dr. Deuri was a highly regarded scientific leader who made countless contributions to BKT during his more than a decade-long association with the company. 

The manufacturer says that innovative and strategic approach to R&D significantly contributed to the success of BKT, his absence will be deeply felt and his contributions to the company will be remembered with gratitude and appreciation. The company will continue to honour his memory by upholding his legacy of excellence in all areas of operation.

Dilip Vaidya, senior president & director (technology) at BKT, expressed his condolences: "We extend our deepest sympathies to Dr. Deuri's family, loved ones, and friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult time."
