Motion acquires KDG 

Motion Industries, a distributor of industrial parts that serves the aggregates and cement industries, has purchased Kaman Distribution Group (KDG) in Connecticut for approximately $1.3 billion.

The move is expected to boost Motion's concentration in core industrial products and services as well as in the technical / automation areas, including precision engineering. 

KDG provides electro-mechanical products, bearings, power transmission, motion control and electrical and fluid power components. The company's employees serve more than 5,000 customers.
