Peter Grönholm has been appointed as managing director of Finnish material-handling attachments manufacturer ALLU.

Grönholm has extensive experience in sales and marketing as well as supply chain management and has also held MD positions in international organisations in Finland and abroad. He is currently the vice president, supply chain & operations for the Cavotec Group in Germany, which is a supplier of industrial equipment. He will join ALLU on 1 July this year.

He has worked in a variety of roles in North America, Norway and Germany, as well as being responsible for business operations in several other countries, including the Nordic region.

"ALLU's strategy is for profitable growth, earnings and internationalisation," said Markku Jonninen, chairman of the board of ALLU Group. "Peter is results and solutions-focused, a well thought of team player, in addition to which he has achieved great results with strong leadership skills. Peter's experience in international business also played a significant role in the selection."

Grönholm commented on his appointment: "For me, ALLU is a positive challenge in Finland after several years abroad. It is a well-known brand in its field and a well-managed company with great growth potential."
