He moves to Betolar from Exel Composites, a company he led for almost nine years. Before that, he held several international leadership positions at ABB.

Kytömäki also holds several board positions in international companies and organisations such as Teknikum Group. He has extensive international management experience, especially from Asian markets where Betolar has expanded during the past few years.

Tero Ojanperä, chairman of the board of directors at Betolar, commented: “We are very happy to welcome Riku Kytömäki to lead Betolar and take the next steps in the growth plans of the company. We especially appreciate his international management experience. I also want to thank Matti Löppönen for his contribution to the company."

Kytömäki will start his career at Betolar in Finland by visiting Kannonkoski where he will familiarise himself with the story and origins of the company and the Finnish city Espoo where the company has an R&D unit.

He comments on his new role: “I am really excited to start working with Betolar’s team and to implement the renewed strategy together. Betolar is in an interesting phase now, and there is great potential for this fantastic Finnish innovation; Geoprime solution in global low carbon construction."
