Grupo enters S&P Global yearbook

Grupo Argos and Cementos Argos received the highest distinction in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook, an index that measures the environmental performance of more than 7,500 companies.

Both companies received the gold seal while another Grupo company Celsia achieved the bronze seal. 

Manjit Jus, global manager of ESG research, S&P Global, says: “We congratulate Grupo Argos for receiving the gold distinction in its industry in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook, which highlights the companies with the best performance among their industry peers in terms of ESG metrics and criteria. With more than 7,000 companies evaluated, their inclusion in the yearbook is a true statement of excellence in corporate sustainability.”

Among the companies evaluated, 17 Colombians stood out, three of them from Grupo Empresarial Argos.

Grupo says this recognition strengthens the confidence of international stakeholders and investors in those companies that work to generate long-term value by bringing together the companies with the best sustainable performance at a global level.

Additionally, Grupo Argos ranked first worldwide in the most recent edition of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index in the Global, Emerging Markets and Latin American Integrated Market indices.
