Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) has revealed the itinerary of ABC Convention 2023, which will take place at the Gaylord Palms in Kissimmee, Florida, from March 15-17, 2023. ABC’s annual convention celebrates the best of the best in merit shop construction, honouring the member companies and individuals who lead the industry in representing the association’s core values.
“ABC Convention 2023 is the place for contractors and construction professionals to find educational content designed to advance their businesses and improve their bottom lines,” said Michael Bellaman, ABC president and CEO.

In addition to educational sessions and keynotes, ABC’s marquee events at ABC Convention 2023 include these events:
- National Craft Championships: ABC’s annual competition celebrates lifelong learning in the merit shop construction industry. Students from the chapter and member training programs compete for national recognition in a dozen crafts in individual and team competitions.
- National Excellence in Construction Awards Gala : The ceremony celebrates the best of merit shop construction, honouring the most outstanding construction projects and contractors of the year for their remarkable achievements in leadership, safety, innovation and inclusion, diversity and equity.
- Construction Workforce Awards: The awards feature the Craft Instructor of the Year, Craft Professional of the Year and Young Professional of the Year. These individuals play critical roles in shaping the future of the construction industry by highlighting construction as a meaningful, lifelong career, emphasising safe work practices and expanding education opportunities.
- Construction Management Competition: The hallmark competition promotes careers in construction management, featuring teams of college students testing their skills in project management, estimating, safety, quality control and presentation skills.
