Aggregate Industries has appointed Claire Horsfall as the new general manager of Witherley Services, its loose aggregates and muck shifting business based in Kettering, England.

Claire Horsfall takes on her new role after a three-year stint as senior HR business partner for Aggregates Industries’ Aggregates Division.

Working at UK and European levels across blue-chip, multi-sector businesses for almost 20 years, Horsfall brings with her a wealth of experience in HR and operational roles. Before joining Aggregate Industries, Horsfall worked across transport, operational, engineering and senior HR roles within Walkers Snack Foods UK, PepsiCo International, where she also achieved a European award for Diversity and Inclusion, and Asda Walmart Distribution.

Now joining the Witherley Services team, a major supplier of primary and recycled aggregates, topsoil, and bulk earthmoving, Horsfall’s role will provide a clear direction of growth for the successful business, putting its suppliers and customers and team at the forefront.

Horsfall said: “I’m delighted to be taking on this new chapter in my career within the Aggregate Industries group. I’m looking forward to navigating the current challenges facing the sector while maximising the unique benefits Witherley Services has to offer. I bring with me a fresh mindset that, alongside the strong and capable team already in place, will help drive the strategic growth of the business while continuing to meet and exceed customer service and expectation.”

Andy Swinnerton, managing director of Aggregate Industries’ Aggregates Division, commented: “As a company that is constantly striving to help create an environment that drives greater equality, diversity and inclusion, we are strengthening the representation of women in our organisation at all levels – so we’re especially thrilled that Claire will be the new general manager at Witherley Services. Claire brings with her a wealth of experience to the role, and I wish her the very best of luck for the future.”
