Attachment manufacturer Allu has launched a rental division in its home market of Finland.
The company says the recent expansion will provide Finnish customers with the opportunity to rent a Transformer on a short term basis, prior to making a possible purchase.
Allu manufactures the Transformer range of hydraulic attachments for wheeled loaders, excavators and skid steers, and the Processor mixer attachment for excavators.
Allu has operated in the rental equipment business for many years in Germany, where the company has a directly owned subsidiary. It says that the German rental business has proven to be a viable concept among contractors in the country, who regularly rent prior to purchase.
Marjut Lindroos, Allu’s global marketing manager, commented on the move into equipment rental: “We wanted to provide our customers with a flexible and risk free way to get an Allu product for a short period of time.
“For new customers, rental operations allow you to familiarise yourself with the equipment before making a purchase decision.”
Lindroos added that this also gives the customer the opportunity to redeem the product at the end of the rental period, thereby enabling them to take a risk free test of the product and its various functions.
“Currently, there are several different units for rent in different sizes and with different blade options,” said Lindroos. “We can change the sharpening according to the customer’s wishes and the mounts are also fitted according to the basic machine.”
