Amrize is pushing ahead with plans to expand production capacity and modernise logistics at its Midlothian Cement Plant.
The Midlothian project, expected to be completed in 2027, is part of an expansive $US900 million investment initiative across Amrize’s North American operations. The 2026 investment level is 15 per cent higher than 2025, according to the US producer.
The expansion project will add 100,000 tonnes of annual production capacity, construct two 15-tonne silos, expand the truck loading lanes from six to 11, implement self-service truck loading technology, and rehabilitate existing silos to unlock additional capacity.
Once completed, the site will have 14 silos, its loading capacity will increase by 80 per cent, and truck turnaround time will be reduced by around five minutes.

“This investment strengthens our ability to partner with customers advancing critical infrastructure and commercial projects across the state.
“By expanding capacity and significantly improving efficiency, we are enhancing reliability, safety and service for the customers and communities we serve.”
The Midlothian facility employs approximately 150 team members and currently delivers more than 2 million tonnes of cement annually, supporting hundreds of builders across Dallas–Fort Worth and throughout Texas.
