Anaconda Equipment International launched its 12th product in under 36 months, the FTR150 tracked feeder conveyor, at Intermat in Paris, France.

The Northern Ireland-based company’s range of mobile conveyors and screeners, designed for use primarily in the mining, quarrying and waste recycling industries, are designed to work in tandem with most of the mobile crushers and screens on the market, says Anaconda. It introduced tracked screeners to its range in April 2010 with the launch of the DF410 tracked scalping screen. It has since has rolled out the SR410 screen; the TD516 trommel screen and now the FTR150 tracked feeder conveyor.

The company says the range has grown along with its global network of distributors, which also includes a network throughout Europe.

It started in 2005 as a sub-contractor and in April 2009 started introducing its own range of equipment.

“When we looked at how the sub-contract business was evaporating we had to take a different view on what was needed to survive initially,” says Anaconda brand, sales and marketing director, Con Gallagher.

“The range of conveyors was already out there being sold in the USA under the Anaconda name so we have started to move away from the sub-contract business but we now had to escalate the pace at which new products were coming through.

“The other challenge was finding distributors. From experience elsewhere, this is the best model for marketing and selling our type of equipment around the world. After launching the DF410 scalping screen things started to move faster.”

Anaconda says its next phase sees the promise of further product launches this year and potential growth.
