ARKANCE, a global leader in digitalisation for the construction, infrastructure, and manufacturing sectors, is excited to announce the continuation of its strategic partnership with the World Green Building Council (WorldGBC). This collaboration underscores ARKANCE’s unwavering commitment to sustainability and highlights its dedication to quality control within the built environment, fostering a more sustainable future for all.

Since initiating this partnership in 2022, ARKANCE has worked closely with WorldGBC, contributing significantly to many initiatives to enhance sustainable building practices worldwide. One notable contribution is ARKANCE’s involvement in the Circularity for the Built Environment Playbook, which has over 500,000 downloads since its release in 2023. This playbook is a critical resource for industry players seeking to implement circular economy principles, providing practical guidance on redesigning systems for durability and resource efficiency.

WorldGBC will launch its strategic plan for 2025-2027 in December, focusing on decarbonising the property and construction sectors by 2050. Recognising that buildings currently contribute nearly 40% of global carbon emissions, the plan outlines a collaborative approach involving global, regional, and local partners to drive sustainable transformations in the built environment.

Greg Arranz, CEO of ARKANCE, shares insight into ARKANCE’s mission toward sustainability in the AEC industry: “The shift toward technology adoption in the construction and building sectors is driven by mandates set by governments, regulators, and business owners regarding the urgent need to maintain comprehensive documentation and ensure rigorous quality control. Our partnership with the World Green Building Council aligns perfectly with our mission to drive digital transformation across industries while upholding the highest standards of sustainability and encouraging a collective effort towards a greener planet.”

Carolina Montano Owen, Technical Lead, Sustainable Buildings, World Green Building Council (WorldGBC), shares more about the partnership with ARKANCE, saying: “ARKANCE has been a key strategic partner for WorldGBC for many years. Our corporate partners are a key voice in WorldGBC’s global network because they bring expertise, leadership and learning from across the value chain. To meet global climate targets and put a sustainable built environment at the heart of our future, we need every stakeholder on board creating the holistic and comprehensive solutions we need.

“Our common goal is to accelerate the adoption of a circular economy and resource efficiency across the sector. Circularity is a key foundation of WorldGBC’s strategy because, right now, the world is currently only 7.2% circular. Meeting climate targets will require us to tackle the 45% of our sector’s emissions associated with the products and things we make and use, including building materials. So in short — we need to go full circle and ensure a circular approach becomes the standard norm.

“On behalf of WorldGBC and our global network, we thank ARKANCE for their continued support. This partnership demonstrates the power of collaboration – and the remarkable outcomes that can be achieved when we work together.”

Through this continued partnership with WorldGBC, ARKANCE is poised to further its impact on global sustainable building practices, leveraging its digital expertise to foster innovation and efficiency in the industry. This partnership also contributes to a larger movement toward sustainable construction practices, encouraging other organisations to embrace digital transformation as a means to achieve their sustainability goals. By working with WorldGBC, ARKANCE is committed to inspiring change and promoting best practices that will benefit future generations.
