Ash Grove Cement Company, the largest American-owned producer of cement and the sixth largest producer of cement in the United States, says Lisa Ketteler has joined the company as its communications director.

Based in the organisation’s headquarters in Overland Park, Kansas, Ketteler will direct internal and external communications for the company and its subsidiaries.

Jacqueline Clark, APR, Fellow PRSA, continues to direct federal, state and local government relations and community affairs for Ash Grove and all its subsidiaries.

“Lisa’s corporate communications experience will serve our employees and the communities in which we operate well,” said Steve Ryan, vice president, general counsel and secretary. “Our employees are our most important asset, and Ash Grove is invested in consistent and clear communications both inside and outside of our organisation as we continue to deliver outstanding products and service to our customers.”

Most recently Ketteler served as manager, transformation communications, for Sprint. Prior to that, she served in roles of increasing responsibility for Sprint, including as manager of corporate communications, executive and internal communications and campus communications.

Active in the community, Ketteler volunteers her time for Boys & Girls Clubs of Kansas City, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Kansas City, the Eric Berry Foundation and Lazarus Emergency Women’s Shelter.

“Ash Grove Cement has a reputation – and legacy – for the highest-quality products in our industry, a fierce dedication to safety standards for employees and enthusiastic involvement in the communities in which we serve,” said Ketteler. “I’m thrilled to be a part of an organisation so dedicated to its people and mission, and excited about the possibilities that lie ahead as we write the next chapter in our 135-year history.”

Ketteler earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Kansas in Lawrence.
