A giant dumper, seen for the first time seen at a trade show, and a tractor weighing 1,500kg, both made of Plexiglas, will be a crowd-puller at the 2018 edition of The Tire Cologne in Germany.
They can be seen at the over-500m² booth of BKT, the Indian-based multi-national group, a major global player in the off-highway tyre market.
The event is being held from 29 May-1 June and BKT’s stand is Hall 06.1, Stand C030 D039.
“This effective setting provides additional value to the selection of top-of-the-range tyres for every sector from agricultural and agro-industrial to earthmoving, OTR, industrial and constructions, all fields, in which the company has been working successfully for a long while and has gained recognition for its expertise,” says BKT.
“The extraordinary 1:1-scaled dumper is equipped with six Earthmax SR 45 M tyres, size 24.00 R 35. These solutions that are specifically conceived for rigid dumpers feature an all-steel casing, a deep E-4 class tread along with a particularly cut resistant compound.”
Along with this giant vehicle, a transparent tractor, which has already been present at trade shows, is equipped with Agrimax V-Flecto tyres, sized VF 710/60 R 42 NRO and VF 600/60 R 30 NRO.
“It is the perfect response to modern farming thanks to distinct features such as reduced soil compaction, less operating costs, double usage in the fields and on the road without the need for inflation pressure changes, and increased load capacity (+40%) at the same pressure of a standard tire of the same size,” says BKT.
The company says that ample space has been dedicated to the cutting-edge products in each field.
The farming sector is represented by Agrimax Force, sized IF 900/60 R 42, and Agrimax Tteris, on display in size 800/65 R 32, whereas for agro-industrial handling equipment, there is Con Star to be viewed at the fair in size 400/70 – 24.
For the industrial sector, there is Portmax PT 93, on display, size 280/75 R 22.5, and Airomax AM 27, sized 445/95 R 25, a crane tyre for construction.
BKT says the dumper is built of a steel bearing structure with 68 connection pipes and 530 lathed nylon spacers that fit and hold together 127 panes of Plexiglas (4tonnes), which have been cut with laser technology.
“This style perfectly matches BKT’s philosophy in terms of trade show appearances, which has always been considered both a meeting venue and a place of entertainment,” says the company.
