Breedon Group has enhanced its position in Ireland’s construction materials market after finalising its acquisition of Booth Precast Products Limited.
The acquisition was completed after the Competition Authority approved the deal. Booth is a regional quarrying and concrete business that has been established for more than 25 years, with its headquarters in County Laois.
Breedon Ireland chief executive officer Declan Carr said the deal secured mineral reserves that would help the company supply the growing Dublin market.
“This acquisition delivers on our strategy in Ireland, providing Breedon with valuable source of aggregates to supply the growing Dublin market and expanding our concrete business, as well as our ability to serve customers with a broad, vertically-integrated platform,” he said.
“We are delighted to welcome Booth and our new colleagues to Breedon. Booth is a well-established and highly regarded business and a strong track record of excellence supplying Irish construction companies. The team’s expertise and extensive customer relationships will further strengthen our operations in the country.”
