The award was presented by BBC news anchor Sophie Raworth to Breedon Group Chief Executive Pat Ward, Group Finance Director Rob Wood and Group Services Director Ross McDonald at a glittering ceremony at Old Billingsgate.
The award is given in recognition of “a significant achievement by a company in transforming itself, literally at a stroke, and thereby creating significant shareholder value.” Breedon’s acquisition of Hope Construction Materials made it the UK’s largest independent construction materials company.
