Liebherr is showcasing its highly productive R 972 crawler excavator. With an operating weight of around 72 tonnes, the German off-highway equipment giant says the machine offers superior driving comfort, with its low fuel consumption and innovative assistance functions said to make it an ideal machine for large-scale construction and extraction sites.
Among many standout features of the R 972 is its Liebherr assistance system Bucket Fill Assist (BFA). The innovative system facilitates a better fill level of the bucket, faster cycle times and better material penetration. As well as reducing the wear on the bucket, the BFA reduces fuel consumption by up to 10% and reduces vibrations for improved driver comfort.
