Case has emphasised its focus on customers with the opening of a new demonstration centre near Paris, France. The new facility at Monthyon was officially opened at an event in October 2009, which was attended by 80 guests.

The new centre is designed to give customers an opportunity to test equipment in similar conditions to their own sites, including mass excavation, material handling and light equipment applications. But the €3million centre is also designed to give customers an insight into the brand behind Case with a heritage centre, showroom, auditorium and workshops.

CNH Construction Equipment CEO Jim McCullough and and Madame Perret, Secretaire General de la Sous Prefecture de Meaux performed a ribbon cutting ceremony during the event to mark the official opening.

Guests were given a tour of the new Customer Centre building and demonstration area before a lunch, which was held in the museum. Visitors were then given a chance to put the demonstration are to the test with a Rodeo competition to put the Case machines and attachments on display through a range of tasks.

According to Case, the aim of the new centre is to give customers more confidence that they are buying the right solution for their site. “The customer will never leave this site with unanswered questions,” said general manager Tony Walton.

Case intends to run two day events, twice a week, for up to 25 customers and dealers at a time. More than 2000 visitors from all over the world are expected to visit the centre in the first year.

However the emphasis is very much on providing a working experience, as well as entertainment.

“It is very job site oriented,” said Walton.

“We will replicate a variety of market sectors here for our customers. This is a unique approach that will allow customers to determine the best solutions for their individual business needs.”
