Doosan confirms major wheeled loader order From CEMEX

Doosan Infracore Europe has secured a massive order for around 100 new Doosan wheeled loaders from CEMEX, a leading global building materials industry player.

Under the new deal agreed, Doosan has been confirmed as the sole supplier of new wheeled loaders for the European operations of CEMEX, covering facilities in France, the UK, Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic and Spain.

Commenting on the CEMEX order, Gilles Bendaoud, vice president of sales & marketing Europe for Doosan Infracore Europe, said: “We are delighted to finalise this agreement with CEMEX for the supply of new Doosan wheel loaders for CEMEX operations in Europe. We are very pleased in the confidence shown by CEMEX in Doosan as one of the world’s leading manufacturers of quarrying and construction equipment and in the Doosan range of wheel loaders. Doosan intends to build a long-term partnership with CEMEX for their Construction Equipment requirements.”

The new agreement with CEMEX covers Doosan wheeled loaders with bucket capacities from 2.2 to 6.0m³, meeting a wide range of loading and handling applications.

The first wheeled loader, a DL550-5, was recently delivered to La Ventrouze in France, the first CEMEX production site to take delivery of machines. Site manager, Romain Legrand, and his team (pictured) welcomed the new DL550-5 wheeled loader, which immediately began work at the site.

The new relationship with the Doosan Group is part of the CEMEX strategy to reduce its cost base through challenging traditional operating practices and the development of new solutions.

The Doosan Group was established in 1896 and has developed into a global leader in the infrastructure support business. Doosan has 37,900 employees in 37 countries, 56 subsidiaries and 3,700 distributors worldwide with turnover in 2018 of US$20bn.
