The Moldavian Ministry of Transport and Road Infrastructure plans to invest €150 million to upgrade and refurbish 200km of the country’s major motorways.
It is the largest investment in the country’s infrastructure to date.
A consortium of international contractors has started work on several of the road construction and repair projects and a fleet of 18 New Holland machines has been delivered to site.
Among the equipment ordered are two F156.7A motor graders; two W300C wheeled loaders; four W190C loaders, two WE150B wheeled excavators; four B115C backhoe loaders and four L220 skid steers.
At 27.3tonnes, the W300C is New Holland’s largest wheeled loading shovel, boasting a 5m3 bucket and a 9.1tonne bucket payload. It is powered by a low emission Tier 4i engine with SCR technology, delivering maximum combustion efficiency and lower operating cost for the customer.
The W190C loader weighs in at 18.3tonnes and delivers a 6.4tonne bucket payload, also with Tier 4i SCR technology, making it an ideal machine for stockpiling and loading duties.
New Holland’s F156.7A is the company’s most productive motor grader, with an operating weight of 16.2tonnes and a 129kW dual-power low emission engine.
The B115C is also a top of the range model, the backhoe loader boasting a Tier 4 Interim 82kW engine.
“New Holland is delighted to have been chosen to supply such a wide range of equipment to these essential infrastructure projects,” says Ionut Roscoiu, CNH Construction Equipment’s Curopean business manager.
