Maskin Mekano's ECO3 screening plant will be showcased at bauma 2019
Swedish firm Maskin Mekano
will be showcasing its ECO3 plant at bauma 2019 in Munich (8-13 April). As more landfill and construction waste needs to be processed on site when transport and deposit costs are rising, the ECO3 is said to be designed to increase profitability.
A state-of-the-art screening unit on a hook-lit frame, the cheap and easy to transport ECO3’s operating costs are said to be low thanks to the diesel electric drive and the cheap and easy-to-change screening meshes. It makes the screening plant ideal for producers with short-term commissions. The format is optimised for on-site production, even on a very limited space. The model’s rugged construction is focused on the essentials: capacity, versatility and reliability.
The ECO3 is powered by a quiet and economical 1500rpm diesel engine. Diesel consumption is low at just 3litres/hour, which translates into CO₂ emissions of about 9kg/hour. Noise levels from the machine vary according to the materials being sorted, but when empty the sound level is a class-leading 70dBA.
If there is access to mains power, there is no need to run the diesel engine, which gives even cheaper and quieter production. The total power consumption at full production amounts to 24A, which corresponds to an electricity consumption of around 14kW/hour.
