Caterpillar has released the results of its 2024 annual report and sustainability report, highlighting the company’s achievements.
The dual 2024 reports outline Caterpillar’s long-term growth strategy. The strategy includes how the company will focus on services, expanded offerings, operational excellence and sustainability.
Caterpillar chief executive officer Joe Creed shared his insights into both reports.
“The reports detail Caterpillar’s investment of more than $30 billion in research and development over the past 20 years in best-in-class innovation,” he said.
“Our strategy for profitable growth is delivering results. With rising global demand for energy and critical minerals powering emerging technologies – alongside expanded opportunities to meet the world’s infrastructure needs – we are well-positioned for what’s ahead.”
The reports included updates on its 2030 sustainability goals, including: reductions in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, remanufactured products sales and employee health and safety objectives.
“Our commitment to excellence extends beyond the execution of our strategy,” Caterpillar chief strategy and sustainability officer George Moubayed said.
“For example, we continue to develop an expanded portfolio of increasingly fuel-efficient, fuel flexible and fully electric products that help customers achieve their sustainability-related objectives.”
