CDE Mining has appointed Stephen McCartney to the role of business development manager to oversee the expansion of CDE Mining in the years ahead with a specific focus on the development of business in North and Latin America, Africa, Australia and Russia.

He joins CDE Mining have gained almost 20 years’ experience in the construction and mining equipment industry throughout North America and Latin America.

Brendan McGurgan, managing director CDE Global said: “Stephen is a welcome addition to our mining division and will have responsibility for the further development of our business in our key target markets over the coming years. The experience he brings to the table is invaluable and we look forward to enjoying further success as we seek to expand our Mining business.”

Since 2005 CDE Mining has been involved in the introduction of new mineral processing techniques to the iron ore mining and steel making industry. This experience was initially gained in India through CDE Asia which has its headquarters in Kolkata. In recent years the company has taken the iron ore processing technology it produces to other territories through the establishment of the dedicated Mining division.

Stephen McCartney said: “I am looking forward to helping CDE Mining establish a reputation as the premier choice for anyone considering a mineral processing project incorporating wet processing technologies. Our project portfolio is extensive and demonstrates our key area of expertise which is the turnkey design and delivery of efficient, productive mineral processing projects that allow our customers to extract maximum value from their reserve while minimising the environmental impact of the operation.”

In addition to the processing of iron ore CDE mineral processing systems are also be applied across a wide range of other mineral ores including bauxite, chromite, gold, coal and copper.
