France’s quarry and construction materials organisation Unicem has recognised a further four Cemex quarries as having reached the highest standard in its environmental charter. The aggregates sites at Avensan, Caresse Cassaber, Labatut and Saint-Sever have all attained the highest standard in terms of water use, noise and air pollution and minimisation of waste, as well as cooperation with local communities and authorities.
