Cemex has released A Gift of Nature. Twenty Years of Conservation & Photography, the 20th anniversary edition of its celebrated conservation book series.

Published in partnership with Earth in Focus Editions, the anniversary issue commemorates and encapsulates an expanded and updated retrospective look back at 20 years of powerful science, images and strategies that have changed the field of conservation publishing.

Cemex says this volume recaptures the powerful impact of its earlier editions and sets the path for new goals to leverage knowledge and present solutions for a sustainable planet.

Supported and illustrated by a visually stunning collection of photographs the book sequentially introduces the range of conservation topics covered by the previous 19 books in the series. Through thought-provoking testimonials and text, recognised leaders in the field reflect on the pressing environmental issues of the past two decades and measure the policy impact of each set of volumes in the series.

“Cemex is greatly honoured to have presented this series in partnership with such highly respected, leading organisations as Conservation International, International Union for Conservation of Nature, BirdLife International, Wildlife Conservation Society, Wild Foundation, Nature Serve, Wetlands International, and Ramsar. They have made an immeasurable contribution to our collective goal of building awareness of the most critical issues affecting the earth’s natural environment,” says the company.

“We express a special thanks to our publishing partners: Agrupacion Sierra Madre (1993-2007); the International League of Conservation Photographers (2008-2011) and Earth in Focus (2012). Together they have consistently played a leading role in producing these remarkable and insightful works.”
