CheckProof has appointed Tom O’Boyle, former engineering manager at Heidelberg Materials, as chief product officer (CPO).

O’Boyle joins the management team to lead product strategy and development as Sweden-headquartered CheckProof scales its frontline operations platform across the global construction materials and heavy industry sectors.

SaaS company CheckProof provides a digital platform for maintenance, health & safety, and quality management tailored to the construction materials and heavy industry sectors.

O’Boyle brings over 14 years of engineering experience, including nine years at Heidelberg Materials UK, most recently as Project & Engineering Manager, with deep, hands-on expertise in maintenance, reliability, safety, and capital project delivery in complex, high-paced operations.

Håkan Holmgren, CEO at CheckProof, says: “Tom’s experience is built where it matters most – on site, under real operational pressure. That perspective is invaluable as we continue to build a first-in-class product suite that reflects how work actually happens in quarries and heavy industry operations.”

O’Boyle comments on his appointment: “I worked closely with CheckProof during my time at Heidelberg Materials and saw firsthand the powerful impact it can have when frontline workflows are designed around the user. Making inspections and follow-ups easy and traceable creates real guardrails for safety and asset reliability. I’m excited to join CheckProof and help build a product suite shaped by real operational needs.”
