During the year, there were a total of 54 newly-added cement production lines in the country, adding a total production capacity of 70.3 million tonnes, stated the China Cement Association.
The capacity fell 25% or 24 million tonnes as compared to 2013. Of the total, there were two production lines with a daily production capacity of 2,000tonnes; four production lines with a daily production capacity of 4,000tonnes; 17 production lines that produce 2,500-4,000tonnes of cement each day, and 31 production lines with a daily production capacity of 5,000tonnes and above.
In terms of companies, Anhui Conch Cement; China National Building Material, and Kunming Iron & Steel Holding took the first three places in the new production list, accounting for 43% of the total.
