North American separation, sifting, and screening solutions manufacturer Compass Wire Cloth has finalized an agreement with Sefar Corporation to acquire its screening division located in Gray, Georgia.
Compass Wire Cloth says the acquisition further expands its national manufacturing footprint and ability to serve customers across the Southeast United States. The transaction closed on March 31, 2026, and Compass Wire Cloth will assume responsibility for the Round Ring Screen business, including the Gray, Georgia facility and its existing team.
The Gray, Georgia operation brings specialized pre-tension manufacturing capabilities that complement Compass Wire Cloth’s existing production in New Jersey, creating a turnkey addition that increases capacity for industrial screening solutions. Establishing a Southeast manufacturing and warehouse presence is expected to improve response times, reduce shipping costs, and support growing demand from vibratory separator customers, regional distributors, and OEM partners.
All orders, customer service, and coordination for Compass Wire Cloth will continue to be managed through the company’s New Jersey headquarters, ensuring consistent communication and service for customers nationwide. Product quality, specifications, and service levels will remain unchanged, and no interruption is expected for existing orders as Compass Wire Cloth transitions the Round Ring Screen business from Sefar. The Georgia facility will operate under the Compass Wire Cloth brand and will focus on manufacturing round pretension screens and related screening solutions for Southeast manufacturing operations.
“This acquisition is a strategic step in Compass Wire Cloth’s long-term growth plan and a clear investment in our customers,” said David Gentilini, chief sales officer & VP of business development at Compass Wire Cloth. “By adding dedicated pre-tension manufacturing capabilities in Georgia, we are expanding our capacity, improving turnaround times for the Southeast U.S., and reinforcing our commitment to reliable, high-quality screening solutions for industrial wire cloth users throughout the region.”
