Heidelberg Materials UK is hosting a CPD event specifically designed for contractors to enhance their knowledge and expertise in sustainable construction.

The two free sessions are being held at the company’s new evoHub venue in EC1, from 11am on Thursday, 9 October 2025 and focus on low-carbon concrete, evoZero carbon captured, net zero cement and transparency of data to help specifiers choose more sustainable products.

Content will include expert-led guidance on sustainable materials, circular design and low-carbon approaches. The sessions will also use case studies to showcase successful implementation and provide access to tools that support design decisions and client conversations.

“Sustainability is no longer optional, it’s essential,” says Marian Garfield, Sustainability Director at Heidelberg Materials UK.

“Whether you are responding to client demand, regulatory pressure, or your own commitment to building better, these CPDs will help to equip you with the knowledge and confidence to lead the change.

“Attending will provide practical insights, innovative solutions and the latest industry standards to help you deliver projects that are compliant and future-ready, helping you stay ahead in today’s rapidly evolving built environment.”

evoHub is located within the Techspace office in Clerkenwell, London, EC1. Its aim is to help integrate sustainability into every stage of design and construction, as well as the post-construction process – through the company’s expertise in recycling and reusing construction and demolition waste – to offer a fully circular solution. As well as a venue for hosting CPDs, evoHub is also an invitation-only space for events and customer meetings.

You can also register your interest in future sessions on topics such as material decarbonisation, recycled materials and the circular economy, net zero energy sources, and supplementary cementitious materials by contacting: evohublondon@heidelbergmaterials.com
