Donal McNicholl, McLanahan Director of Sales – UK and Ireland, has been appointed to a leadership position within the Washed Aggregates Trade Association (WATA). WATA is one of the UK’s leading organisations representing the washed aggregates sector.

This appointment reflects McNicholl’s technical knowledge and industry experience, as well as McLanahan’s commitment to supporting collaboration, sustainability and technical advancement across the aggregate industry.

“It’s an honour to join WATA and contribute to shaping the future of our industry,” said McNicholl. “I look forward to working with fellow members to promote best practices, drive innovation and represent the collective voice of washed aggregate producers.”

McNicholl brings many years of experience in aggregate and C&D recycling processing solutions. His experience, combined with his technical knowledge, has helped him make an impact on the aggregate industry.

“WATA UK is delighted to have Donal join the Board. As a relatively new and vital trade association representing the washed recycled aggregates sector, it is critical we have highly experienced and passionate people like Donal support the development of our association and drive the development of our sector,” said Andy Hill, Chair of WATA UK.

The Washed Aggregates Trade Association works to promote the benefits of washed and recycled aggregates to the government and the wider market to advance the critical role of the sector in the UK’s circular economy. It is focused on the continued growth of the washed and recycled industry as it plays a vital role in the future of the UK’s construction landscape.

McLanahan offers over 190 years of experience in providing processing solutions to a variety of materials handling industries. For more information, visit www.mclanahan.com or contact sales@mclanahan.com.
