Terex Washing Systems (TWS) Dual Power control system is now available on all versions of the Terex M-Range wash plant.

These include the M1400, M1700 and M2100 mobile rinser plants, and the system, using both diesel-hydraulic and electrical-hydraulic power drives, allows the user to start, transport and operate the machine using the standard diesel engine.

In position, a suitable electrical power source means the machine can be plugged in to use the electrical-hydraulic power drive, offering reduced running costs.

“For the past few years there has been an increasing focus on energy efficiency and alternative improved methods of running mobile machinery,” says TWS product line director, Sean Loughran.

“Traditionally diesel-hydraulic drive systems have been used for both machine movement and operation, resulting in significant fuel costs. We decided it was time

to offer our customers an alternative.

“Due to the fact that Terex has many mobile wash plants in the market place, we want to keep consistency in terms of spare parts and operator plant knowledge. As a result we have developed an approach that is truly ‘best of both worlds’.”

TWS sales manager, Fergal McPhillips says: “The Dual Power option provides a more cost effective and efficient operation, which is of particular importance in the

current economic climate.”
