Duo Group has signed an agreement with Tungsten West to act as the Engineering, Procurement and Construction partner for the new Crushing, Screening and Ore Sorter Facility at the Hemerdon Project in Devon, southwest England, one of the UK’s most important critical minerals projects.

Duo Group is a full-service processing solutions specialist, working across the aggregates, mining, recycling and materials handling sectors throughout the UK. Duo is also the national partner for the sales and servicing of Metso fixed plant equipment in the UK. Metso will supply the main fixed equipment for the facility, ensuring proven and reliable crushing and screening technology sits at the heart of the process.

Martin McWilliams, Managing Director of Duo Group, said: “We are pleased to be working with Tungsten West on such a significant project. Duo has a long and proven history of delivering complex turnkey projects across the UK, and that experience gives this project real momentum from the outset. Our teams have worked closely together to develop a strong and practical solution that puts Metso technology at the centre of the process. This facility is a key part of the Hemerdon restart programme, and we are proud to play our part in a project that is so important to the future of the UK critical minerals sector.”

Jeff Court, CEO of Tungsten West, said: “This marks another important milestone in restarting Hemerdon, and I am very pleased to have Duo as a partner for this Project. This works package is a major component of the restart programme and enables us to come on this long lead time component.”

The new Crushing, Screening and Ore Sorter Facility will play a central role in enabling the safe, efficient and long-term restart of operations at Hemerdon, supporting the domestic supply of strategically important minerals for years to come.
