The Concrete Sustainability Council (CSC) has awarded its Gold seal to all seven of Dyckerhoff's German cement plants and to ten of the company's ready-mixed concrete plants.
The CSC certificate is a global certification system geared towards sustainable production has been introduced for companies in the concrete, cement and aggregates scetors. It certifies ecologically, socially and economically responsible action.
Buzzi Unicem-owned Dyckerhoff says that the seven cement works in Amöneburg, Lengerich, Deuna, Göllheim, Geseke, Neuss and Neuwied had already been awarded the maximum achievable seal of Silver in 2018.
Dyckerhoff says that the CSC’s recent update to version 2.1 of its standard, means that additional evidence and more detailed documentation is now required.
The Concrete Sustainability Council (CSC) promotes transparency about the concrete manufacturing process and its value chain as well as the effects on the social and ecological environment. The CSC certification is designed to lead to a continuous increase in the sustainable management of the cement, raw material and concrete industries. The industry is thus making its contribution to sustainable building in Germany.
