Eagle Iron Works (EIW) has added a dewatering screen to its product offering, which the US company says is in response to longstanding demand from dealers and customers.
The Eagle dewatering screen specifically accepts material from a fine material screw or a bucket wheel.
Material typically discharges from a fine material washer with a moisture content of around 20%. Des Moines, Iowa-based EIW says that adding one of the new screens to create an Eagle+ System can lower the moisture content to 7%-10%, which minimises the time and space it can take to dry sand.
The screen has been designed to fit under any brand of screw washer. It features wear liners and heavy-duty urethane screen media, is built to handle high forces and incorporates a motor brake. A divider deck is an optional feature that allows operators to separate their product.
Eagle also offers the ability to return fines back to a screw under control, enabling users to reduce their overall water footprint.
McLanahan, whose products include dewatering screens, bought EIW in 2012. Speaking at this week’s ConExpo construction equipment show in Las Vegas, McLanahan general manager Mark Krause said: “EIW is a complementary product to us as well as a competitive one.”
