Ethiopia's Ministry of Industry has unveiled a draft Cement Industry Development Strategy prepared by Adama Science and Technology University. According to a statement, it will cost around US$29.74 million (ETB 600 million) to implement the strategy. It aims to help increase domestic cement consumption in the country by over three-fold from six million tonnes at present to 20 million tonnes over the next 10 years.
